Obtain Your Absolutely Free Credit Report, No Trial!

Ann Born asked:

You have an abundance of alternatives when looking for an absolutely free credit report, no trial. Within the United States, Americans have the ability to receive one absolutely free credit report, no trial from each of the three major reporting companies, yearly. Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian all provide you one free credit report on a yearly basis. The only requirement from you is that you contact any one of them and request your absolutely free credit report, no trial.

You will be required to provide them with proof of identification and current address. This is a necessary step to prove that you are the person shown on the credit report. After you have requested the absolutely free credit report, no trial, you will find your credit report sitting in your mailbox in as little as two weeks. If you are not willing to write these companies to request your free credit report, you can contact them by telephone as well. Depending upon the company you are going with, you may be able to find your credit rating right over the phone. However, you will still need to provide them with some identifying information.

Receiving an absolutely free credit report, no trial, is suitable for most people. There is really no reason you need to have constant review of your credit report. It does not generally change overnight, unless you have many different credit issues to deal with. The internet provides you with a multitude of methods in obtaining a free credit report; however, this will not be an absolutely free credit report, no trial. You will be required to provide credit card information and have to go through a 30-day free trial. There is no reason to risk your money or information online, when you can get a yearly, absolutely free credit report, no trial.

Equifax Credit Report – Beware Of Scams

Arturo Ronzon asked:

There are credit reports produced yearly by consumer bureaus national. Equifax is one of the three companies that provide this report. In fact every American is entitled to three free copies of these reports yearly from the different consumer bureaus. The benefits of the Equifax credit report cannot be overstated – it is very important. But, you should be very careful about scams, guide that at all cost.

For instance there is only one website provided by the consumer companies for the application too receives a free copy of the annual credit. But, many other sites claim to give the free copy and even some sell these free copies to ignorant consumers that do not know this. You should get the right information to avoid being fooled by these scammers. Learn to tell the fake from the original copy.

Many methods are used to con ignorant consumers these days. For instance, a thief can apply for your credit report using your identity, with the purpose of knowing your Equifax credit report to process loans with your identity. They will not definitely escape with the money collected from the loan leaving the debt for you to pay. So, it’s always good to be informed about your credit report and always make sure you apply through the right channel whenever you do. Because if you visit a site that claims to help you get your credit report, you are only risking your personal information to fraudsters that can use it against you. The only website for the application of credit report is http://www.annualcreditreport.com beware of scams.

When you visit the wrong site offering you a free copy of the Equifax credit report any other one credit report, you’ll be asked to type in your personal information, after you do that you will not see your report instead they have gained access to your credit report and you know the rest of the story. A way out of this is to apply for a fraud alert that will keep you informed of any addition on your credit report but, we all have to apply the greatest caution when dealing with financial issues to avoid bankruptcy. BE WARNED.

Credit score and paying negative items question?

tsolworldwar3 asked:

Hi,

On my credit report I have 4 negative items. My score is really low around 460.

Three are collection agencies and one is HSBC.

One ca agreed to a settlement. 1,500 of 3,000. I have their statement in writing that they will update the status to paid in full. They had no desire to agree on a pfd, unless the full amount was paid, which I don’t have enough money.

The two other ca’s agreed on pfd, if I pay the amount in full. Which I will as soon as I receive the pfd confirmation letters from them.

My HSBC account is already closed by grantor’s request. I agreed to pay the full amount in exchange they remove past due history, and change their statement to account closed at consumer’s request w/ 0 balance.

Would any of this help up my credit score? I’m hoping it does, but i’m really doing it to start over clean and pay my debts whether it helps or not.

Is it illegal to use someone’s credit card if they give you permission?

Drew C asked:

So I was in a relationship but not technically married at the time these credit cards were issued. But we had three credit cards and two of them we had around a $15,000 limit and I was added by my partner as an additional credit card holder, so I had two cards in my name also. We had a third credit card that was only in her name but it just had a $1300 limit and she gave me that one to use as my business card. She gave me permission to use it and we were making payments on it every month but I was the one sending in the payments since it was my charges and I was responsible for paying back. Well we got legally married 6 months ago and we are now getting divorced and things are getting nasty. She told me that I had to pay the full $1300 off immediately or else she was going to report it as fraud/identity theft and claim she never new about this card. I was going to pay it all off because I did not want to deal with the police…then she came to me and said that since she was going to file bankruptcy that she was advised not to pay any of her credit cards…she then said if I gave her $600 cash she would not report it as “Fruad” – well I don’t want to deal with the police and they are my charges so I gave her cash….then a few days later she gets even more bitter and now she’s filed a police report and I got a call from the police yesterday (I missed the call).

My question is what can I do? The bill and every thing they sent came to our house and PO Box for almost two years…payments were being made…she even gave me money to make some of the payments! What can I do? Is it my word against hers now? Is this illegal if I had permission?? Thanks!

Free Credit Report

Money Only asked:

We live in a credit oriented world. We all get credit at some point, so it’s hardly surprising to learn that we all have a credit history. If you are curious about your credit rating, and you should be, you can obtain a free credit report from a number of sources. This will let you see what the credit companies see when you apply for a loan or a mortgage.

Applying for a free credit report can actually save you money, if used properly. It is important that your electoral role details are up to date, for example. There are other public re\cord that will be compiled to create your credit history, any CCJ’s against you, for example. You can also discover who has been conducting credit searches on you. In short, a free credit report will let you know everything a lender will discover about you if you apply for credit of any kind.

Whenever you apply for credit that information is passed to a credit agency and kept in your personal credit file. That becomes a kind of footprint that other credit lenders can check up on to see how many others you have sought credit from. If you have made a lot of applications in a short period of time, it will look bad for you; especially if there have been an equally high amount of refusals.

The advantage of this system is that credit lenders can access your entire credit history with one single request. They do not have to ask several different places for the information. There are advantages to you to. You can also apply for a free credit report from a single agency, rather than having to chase all over the place to try and find out what information is kept on your credit history.

The information you will receive in your free credit report includes things like, who is living in your home in addition to you, if you have any financial affiliation with them, or they with you. Because of this, another person’s past credit history may affect your present credit standing. For this reason you should be very careful whom you do business with, or have a financial link with.

If you want to have a free credit report of your own credit history, court history and government agency involvement, you can apply through the terms laid down in the Data Protection Act. This states the terms under which the free credit report reference agencies can supply you with a copy. There will be probably be an administrative fee, but it should be quite small and only necessary to cover their costs.

There are many agencies willing to supply you with a free credit report. A search in any of the major Internet search engines will yield positive results. You should be careful, however, as there are always identity fraudsters who are out to take your personal details and use them to your detriment wherever they can get the chance.

Why You Should Apply for a Free Credit Report And What To Do If It Is Bad

Emanuele Allenti asked:

A free credit report is exactly what you need if you are unsure about your credit rating. It will allow you to find out exactly what is improving or diminishing your credit rating-and also help you to determine how best to react. There are hundreds of companies that say they can offer you a free credit report, but they will usually have a hidden charge that you won’t know about until you realize that some money has been drafted from one of your accounts. Other companies, however, are totally legit and will give you your free credit report without any additional charge.

Your free credit report will let you know why credit card companies keep turning you away. A bad credit rating will mean that you are not suitable for a credit card from that company. They will more than likely require a certain credit score for you to obtain a credit card. A free credit report will let you know where you stand in other companies’ eyes; it will also let you know your chance of being approved for a credit card.

If you have taken out a loan within the past year and had some trouble paying it off, then your credit score would have taken a bit of a knock; and you won’t know how bad it could be. So applying for a free credit report will let you know where you stand. There are two ways to apply for your free credit report. One way is through the Internet, which will allow you to have instant access to your credit report; the other way is via telephone and you will receive your credit report within two weeks through the mail.

It is a good idea to keep an eye on your credit score so that you know how bad or good it is. You will then know how likely you will get accepted for a credit card. Or how likely you are to get accepted for renting a property.

If you have just received your credit report and it wasn’t what you expected, then you will want to know which steps you should now take to correct your problems. There are a few ways to clean up your credit report and to make your credit score hit the right side of the bar. If you are wondering how to clean up your credit report, then it would be a good idea to ask yourself what got you the bad report in the first place. If it was not paying your credit card bills, then you have to convince yourself to finish paying off your debts-and to determine how best to do it. You have to sit down and write yourself a sensible budget plan and then follow through with it. That is just one sensible way on how to clean up your credit report.

Upon seeing a bad credit score, you will immediately want to know how to clean up your credit report. The best thing to do is to cut off all the things that are making it bad. Late payments are usually part of the problem; and if you don’t have a lot of money to begin with, it is probably a good idea to limit your spending to your bills. Another somewhat unorthodox approach to cleaning up your credit report is to apply for more credit from companies that you know you can pay back. You borrow small sums of money that you can pay off quickly and without any problems; this will show that you can pay off your borrowings, and that will impress the next person you seek to get credit from.

Cleaning up your credit report is a learning process. You will need to find out effective ways to restore your credit-and then you will have to consistently apply them to your life to alter your spending, saving, and bill-paying habits.
