Updating credit scores?

redmeansgo asked:

I was just looking at my credit report/score and the most recent information it gave from my cards and accounts was from March, for all three bureaus. I was just wondering if there was anything I could do to get that updated, like call equifax, tu, or anything like that. I’m not looking into buying anything right now, I would just like to know why my score hasn’t gone up since March. All my balances are lower than they were now, so I don’t see why nothing has updated. Thanks!

Laid off, eviction judgement and my credit accounts?

Z3 asked:

I was laid off my job four months ago. I have survived by taking money out of my savings and credit. My credit balances are not high but no cash advances are available for rent payments. I talked with my landlord three months ago about being laid off and being concerned I would not be able to complete my lease. He was rude and told me I would be evicted and a judgement placed on my credit report if I didn’t pay my rent. So, I now have no money and no choice but to move-out and live with my brother. How will an eviction judgement affect my credit cards and credit report which is in good standing. No lates, always paid using my savings and un-employment. Will my credit be ruined? Will my cards be cancelled?

Identity Theft, Fraudulent accounts, theft, social security misuse?

Marcos C asked:

Unfortunately I have been another victim of identity theft. Because of that I placed a “fraud alert” on my credit report, contacted the local police, and contacted all three credit bureaus. Now the problem is that the fradulent accounts removed keeps coming back to my credit report everytime I have them remove it and the thief is still on the loose. how do I bring this person to justice? do I just go to court ?? and what kind of lawyer do I need for this or where can I find a lawyer that specializes in this case? I would really appreciate if someone could help me solve this problem because I have to worry about it every night and it makes me depressed.
