I’m interested in buying a car in a few months. Currently I have a credit score of 540 and I want to increase it to at least 600. I’ve have deliquent accounts, collections, hospital bills, and student loans (they’re deffered, I don’t have to pay them back until 2010), on my credit report. I’ve paid off all of my deliquent accounts, and only have three accounts in collections (which I have monthly payment plans set up).
Will settling collection accounts increase my credits score? What are some things I can do to increase my credit score by December 2008?
