I want to purchase another car but my credit is weak.(follow up.more info)?

Renata D asked:

The car I have now is a 2005 it was a demo, I bought it about 18 months ago, the warranty is about to run out next month. One of the salespeople suggested that I keep it for about 18 months and get rid of it…because my credit was bad I was stuck making high monthly payments…I made all but 2 payments on time and I recently as of three months ago paid off all but one credit card off. I closed those accounts and according to my credit report..my credit will eventually be fair…I really don’t have much time to wait because my warranty will end next month…So I was wondering whether I might end up paying less of a monthly payment than I was before…my trade in has low mileage like..21,000 and its a 2005….

Credit Card Question?

john_a_monaco asked:

My main card is an American Express Platinum charge card. I just did a product transfer from my Chase Freedom to a Chase Sapphire. Is the Chase Sapphire any good? I stayed away from Visa Black due to the annual fee and only really get a Priority Pass membership, and my wife’s Citi card has that. Which would you prefer Amex Platinum Charge or Chase Sapphire? And I do pay my balance in full, unless I travel and I just use the Sign and Travel from Amex.

Also, I need to cancel some of my credit cards. I know people will say that lowering them will reduce my limit to avaiable ratio, but it will only lower it for like two months and I don’t really care.

I only want three cards. I currently have an Amex Plat, will not get rid of. A Chase Sapphire on the way. A Bank of America Visa Signature ( http://www.askmrcreditcard.com/bankofamericavisasignaturewithworldpoints.html ) A Discover Open Road card. A Navy Federal Credit Union, Mastercard. An American Express Blue. A Citi Platinum Select.

And I only want three cards, and the Amex Platinum will be the others. I have another card that was my parents and still shows up on my credit report and my Amex Platinum, Discover, Amex Blue are all opened in 2007. The rest were opened this year. What is the best choice. And the Chase Sapphire, I haven’t recieved yet is supposed to be a World Mastercard. So I was thinking of keeping the Chase Card and the Bank of America card. Or should I just keep all and don’t use?
